The Women’s Corps Purpose Statement

A Call to Lift Up Our Universe Mother Spirit

The Women’s Corps accepts the call to make manifest our Universe Mother Spirit's love in the world.

To that end,

  • we will be led by spirit to be a force for good in the world.
  • we will experience and share the joy of serving our sisters and brothers.
  • we will lift up our Mother and her values by becoming those values.
  • we will help to empower other women to grow in spirit and spiritual values.

Sisters! Here is a report I wrote for our local Urantia society, when asked how the Women’s Retreat went…
What can be said about the women’s retreat?

34 Urantian women gathered at Vallombrosa retreat center in Menlo Park last month. Half of the women attending were non-locals, traveling to the Bay Area from Southern California, Texas, Idaho, New Hampshire, British Columbia, and Arizona. We appreciated the sponsorship of the Golden Gate Circle, especially Claudia Ayers for taking care of finance and registrations, and Dolores Nice for finding the perfectly beautiful site for us.

The gathering was a continuation of the women’s retreat started by our Texans last year, and we hope there will be many more retreats for us in locations far and wide. Our theme was “Midwives to a New Creation.” We believe there is a need for expanding awareness of the influence of our local universe Mother Spirit. Women even in secular circles seem called to gather together; Urantians hear that call, more and more, as being drawn into service of the Divine Feminine.

I cannot share what was confidential and personal. I cannot translate into words the palpable joy we all felt in each other’s presence. We learned about our local universe Mother’s creation; about her gifts, her influence, her power, and her ministry. We learned about the Supreme Being, AKA, God the Mother. We heard anthropological evidence that reveals how religious awareness of the Divine Feminine has been erased and eroded over millennium. We explored how to speak for ourselves and for each other; to listen and to hear each other. We delved into what keeps each one of us from staying connected with our heavenly Parent. We shared our impressions of Mother’s work on our planet, and how we might help Her angels in their work. We celebrated and danced and prayed and sang. We were treated to live music, twice! We shared our favorite pictures of the Divine Mother. We ate chocolate and drank wine. We encouraged each other and met new sisters. We laughed and cried and shared our life stories.

One complaint: the weekend was too short!
